The three numbers your energy broker should show you — and rarely does
A single rate isn't a comparison. Here's what a genuine energy quote should actually include.
Most energy renewal conversations focus on one number: the rate. That's not enough to actually judge whether a deal is good.
The three numbers that matter: your current unit rate, the genuine market-wide range for your consumption band at the point of comparison, and your total annual cost including standing charges — not just the headline rate. A broker quoting you a single number without the other two isn't giving you a comparison, they're giving you a number to react to.
Ask for all three before you sign anything. If a broker can't or won't show you the market range they compared against, that's worth noticing.
