How Vantage is remunerated.
A commercial relationship should be clear from the outset. This page explains the principal ways Vantage may be paid in connection with the services we provide.
Depending on the arrangement, Vantage may receive remuneration from one or more of the sources below. The applicable structure can vary by supplier, service and customer arrangement. Relevant remuneration information is communicated in accordance with applicable requirements and contractual terms.
Energy supplier commission
When we arrange an energy contract, the supplier pays Vantage a commission. It is included in the unit rate and/or standing charge you pay, shown in the contract principal terms, and we tell you the amount before you agree.
Referral fees
Where Vantage refers a customer to a third-party provider of related commercial products or services, Vantage may receive referral income. This includes referral fees from our card payments partner when we introduce you to a payment provider and you go ahead. Your contract is with the provider. This is disclosed where relevant.
Fees you pay us directly
Websites, business systems and consultancy are charged as agreed fees, quoted before you commit.
Other disclosed commercial remuneration
Any other remuneration associated with a commercial arrangement is communicated in accordance with applicable requirements and contractual arrangements.
Our principle
Our principle is simple: customers should be able to understand how we are paid for every service we arrange, whether that is energy, card payments, connectivity or anything else. If anything is unclear, ask us and a member of the team will explain the applicable structure.
Your right to ask
You are entitled to ask about the nature of our remuneration in relation to your energy agreement. We tell you the amount of our commission before you agree to a contract, and will answer any questions about it. See also our commission disclosure and trust centre.
